Manual Handling and Dental Ergonomics

This course provides information on Manual Handling Regulations in accordance with The Manual Handling Operations Regulation 1992 and The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. It will enable the team to assess the risks associated with dentistry and how to avoid developing work related musculo-skeletal disorders.

• Provide information on Manual Handling Regulations, advice and techniques

• Highlight employers' responsibilities

• Identify the risks and potential hazards

• Discuss control measures to prevent or reduce injury

• Identify ergonomic issues within a dental practice

• Correct arrangement of VDU equipment and risk assessing
